Canon AE-1 and AE-1 Program Repairs

The Canon AE-1 and AE-1 Program cameras are some of our favourite cameras to work on. Whether your film camera has stopped working, or you have noticed a change in its behaviour, we offer a range of repair, CLA, and refurbishment services.

We are also able to repair the common 'Canon cough' and aperture squeak. These are common issues that present themselves as a squeal when the shutter fires or you advance the winding lever. It requires removing the mirror box entirely to correctly service these mechanisms.

Repairs & Servicing

How much do you charge for repairs?

All of our cameras are tested and fully working. Any faults or condition remarks are stated in the product description. All of our cameras are also refurbished and serviced, which includes new light seals, clean interiors, shutter speed testing, light meter calibration and lubricated mechanisms where necessary.

What is your turnaround time for repairs?

We aim to get your camera back to you within two weeks. Sometimes we can get your repairs done a lot faster and if there are any delays, we will get in touch with you.

How do I get my camera to you?

You can post your camera to us. We are based in the UK and accept repairs from anywhere in the world. Please fill out the contact form and we will get in touch with details on how to send the camera to us. Please do not post items to the address in the footer of the website.

Yes, we will buy cameras in any working condition. We may reject them if it is a model of camera that we already have a lot of spare parts for.
